Electricity used for RFNBO productioniElectricity used for RFNBOs leaves the numerator (Art. 7(2) RED as amended by RED III, which 1184 Art. 4(1) subpara 2 applies by analogy), and electricity used to produce hydrogen and other e-fuels leaves the denominator — the Eurostat SHARES method (Draft SHARES Tool 2025), which Commission Q&A 15 names for the certifiable share. This field is the map’s own input, independent of the simulator project; 0 MW = no own load deducted. Applies from the start year in every later year; set steps under ‘year by year’. The load is taken as additional load supplied at the zone mix: s′ = s − (1 − s)·e, no effect where s ≥ 100 %. Zone supply = the zone’s ENTSO-E A75 generation of the year (production only — Art. 4(1) adds imports − exports, not applied here, so e is overstated for net importers; grown with the cited path where one exists). The stricter literal reading of Art. 4(1), whose denominator names no such deduction, is shown under the curve.

Projection ≠ legal statusiThe RES-E curve starts at the base-year value: certifiable where a statistic is published for that data year, else the own calculation (computed). The CI curve starts at the zone’s own calculation and stays indicative: the figure on record — a published zone figure, else Table A — stands until more recent data becomes available, and the verdict line reads it. Under each curve is what carries it onward: the measured trend (the Member State’s official Eurostat share series for the share), the computed trend of this zone’s own CI years for the intensity, a flat hold where the years carry none, or milestones you set. The cited scenario — the zone’s own published path where one exists, else the national one — is one chip away: a scenario of its author, not a forecast, and the line under the curve says what pace it implies against the measured one. The 2030 and 2040 anchors are draggable and typeable, and reset returns them to that basis. Art. 4(1) reads the previous calendar year: once the 90 % threshold is exceeded in a calendar year, the status holds for the five subsequent years (consolidated Art. 4(1)); qualification applies from the year after the threshold year. A dip after the first crossing keeps qualification only through crossing-year + 6 (5-year carry). Art. 4(2) reads the latest available data — Table A until more recent data becomes available; window: any year n-6…n-1.
