Legal notice & privacy
Provider identification under § 18(2) MStV and § 5 DDG, information on data processing under Art. 13 GDPR, and disclosure of the use of artificial intelligence. Rewire. is published from Germany; the German statutes are named in the original.
Legal notice
Rewire. is a non-commercial, journalistic-editorial publication: it is not monetised, carries no advertising and serves no business purpose. The duty to identify the provider therefore follows from § 18(2) MStV, which turns on the editorial character rather than on commerciality; the details below also satisfy § 5 DDG.

Responsible for editorial content
under § 18(2) MStV
The provider and the person responsible for editorial content are the same; name and address as above.
Editorial principles
Rewire. voluntarily commits to the Pressekodex of the German Press Council, as amended from time to time. The Pressekodex is not law but the German press's own code of practice; the commitment here is made by choice.
The binding duties are respect for the truth and truthful information of the public (Clause 1), diligence in research and reporting (Clause 2), a clear separation of news from comment (Clauses 1/2), prompt correction of published information found to be wrong (Clause 3), and a clear separation of editorial content from advertising (Clause 7).
These duties are not a statement of intent. Because the briefing is drafted by a language model, they are written into the editorial instruction the model works from, so they bind where the text is actually produced.
Corrections and right of reply
Reports of factual errors are received at the e-mail address above and examined without delay. Demonstrable errors are corrected and the correction is marked as such in the same place. The right of reply under § 20 MStV is unaffected.
Use of artificial intelligence
Rewire. is produced with the assistance of AI. The daily items are selected and summarised automatically from publicly accessible sources; the title illustration of each edition is generated by an AI image model and does not depict a real scene. Both are disclosed here and labelled at the content itself (Art. 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the AI Act).
Editorial responsibility rests regardless with the person named above. The use of AI does not displace the duty of diligence.
Liability
The content serves general information only. It is not investment, legal or regulatory advice. This applies expressly to the RFNBO simulator: its results are own calculations based on public data, not official or certified values, and they do not replace a legal assessment of an individual case.
Despite careful preparation, no liability is accepted for accuracy, completeness or timeliness. The operators of linked external sites are solely responsible for their content; no infringements were apparent at the time of linking.
Copyright
The summaries published here are independently written short accounts of publicly accessible reporting: they render the facts and take over no wording from the source. Every item names its source and links to it. Rights in the original articles remain with their respective holders. Rights holders who wish to object to a rendering need only write to the address above — it will be examined and answered promptly.
Privacy
Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the person named above.
Visiting the site
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. On each request Vercel processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, resource requested, browser type) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the service. Transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Newsletter
The newsletter is sent through Buttondown LLC (USA) as a processor. On signing up, your e-mail address and the time and confirmation of the sign-up are processed. Sign-up uses double opt-in: you first receive a confirmation e-mail and are added only after you confirm. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — via the unsubscribe link at the foot of every edition, or by writing to the address above. After withdrawal your data are deleted from the mailing list; the record of consent is retained as evidence for as long as that is necessary.
Open and click behaviour is not analysed; the corresponding tracking is switched off in Buttondown. Only the information technically required for delivery is processed.
Storage in your browser
We set no cookies for analytics or advertising. Your browser's local storage holds only your own display settings (light or dark, and the filters last chosen in the simulator). That storage is strictly necessary for the service you expressly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and is not transmitted to third parties. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from this site's own server. No font provider is contacted and no IP address is transmitted to one. An earlier version loaded them from Google Fonts; that transfer no longer takes place.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Consent once given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — either in your country of residence or that of the controller.
